Gina Guirola, Ed.D., originally from San Salvador, El Salvador, has Latin music and rhythm in her blood! Her passion for dancing is contagious!! She has a doctoral degree in Education specializing in Psycho physiology. She has been a Group Fitness Instructor certified through ACE for over 20 years. Her dance background includes ballet, jazz, Latin American folk, and ballroom dance. She has been teaching “Salsa-robics” at Synergy Health and Fitness for about 4 years and her classes are always full. She also teaches “Salsa-robics” at Portsmouth Ballroom. Her amazing energy and enthusiasm will get you moving to the salsa beat in no time!
Heather Warr RYT completed 200 hours of yoga teacher training with Hannelore Mobius of Durham, NH in May of 2004. She studied the Integrative Yoga Therapy approach which focuses on the healing benefits of yoga. Heather holds the ChildLight Yoga certification created by Lisa Flynn. She has been a pediatric speech language pathologist for the past twenty years and lives in Exeter with her husband and two boys. Heather enjoys working with children and adults of all ages and has a special interest in working with people with special needs.
Julie Rost, RYT 500 has been working as Yoga Teacher and Coordinator of the Mind Body Sol Center since her arrival in New Hampshire in 2004. Her training and prior experience were as full-time Classical Yoga Instructor and Coordinator of 200 and 500– hour Yoga teacher training programs at the YogaLife Institute in Pennsylvania, a Yoga studio and teacher training center born of the Yoga Institute of Mumbai, India. Julie currently teaches classes, leads workshops and retreats in the Exeter/ Portsmouth area, and is Director of the Classical Yoga Teacher Training Program of New Hampshire (200 and 500 hour levels). Julie believes the power of Yoga lies in its rich lineage of wisdom, utilizing the ancient texts; connecting to our higher levels of consciousness; utilizing the breath and mind-body awareness in poses, relaxation exercises and meditation; and practicing ethical living in our daily lives.
Lisa Burk-McCoy’s yoga journey began several years ago in a class above the Blue Moon. It was there that she began to realize the life-changing potential of yoga and eventually decided to pursue her 200-hour teaching certification. This has opened the door to a level of physical, emotional and spiritual awareness that provides a continuous (and amazing!) learning adventure. She is interested in wellness as a state of being– rather than as the opposite of illness– and is particularly inspired through personal experience as a caregiver to explore the relationship between yogic movement and neurological health. In addition to yoga, Lisa dabbles as a musician, playing flute in a loc– al contradance band. She is blessed with a wonderful family– a husband, son and daughter, without whom she would be incomplete. They make their home in Exeter, NH.
Lisa Rockenmacher, RYT is a graduate of the Classical Yoga teacher training program and is currently enrolled in their advanced degree program. Her teaching incorporates her experience with various styles of yoga. Lisa has taught English in the public schools and adult education, Reiki workshops, and yoga. In each of these modalities, Lisa’s focus is the same- encouraging students to deepen their understanding of their own inner wisdom.
Maddy Bottari Eaton, RYT 500 is a Kripalu Yoga Teacher Certified at the Professional Level. She has been teaching and living yoga for many years. She currently teaches at Mind Body Sol Center and Synergy Health and Fitness in Exeter, and at Stepping Stones in Portsmouth– a program for people recovering from brain injury. She also teaches for teaches for Exeter hospital in the Cancer Well-Fit Program. Through the wisdom and grace of Kripalu Yoga she supports her students on their journey of healing and transformation. She also holds a Master’s Degree in the Usui System of Reiki Healing.
Nancy Berry is a certified yoga teacher and experienced yoga practitioner. Yoga is an integral part of her life and healing. Nancy’s own journey with MS and a cancer diagnosis and the desire to be present and balanced everyday led her to develop a realistic and supportive yoga and meditation practice. She brings this experience to others by creating a safe, supportive environment for exploring the many aspects of yoga.
Pam Herring, RYT is a graduate of the Classic Yoga program and continues her studies in the 500-hour level of teacher training. She has worked with Kathy Gallant in the Feed Your Spirit yoga/cooking series at Blue Moon. Once her two daughters left the “nest” and entered the “real world”, Pam was able to pursue her interest in yoga, Eastern philosophy and scriptures. She enjoys the challenge of adapting some of the ancient yoga concepts to her life in the 21st Century. Pam is Reiki certified, a naturalist at the Seacoast Science Center, a weaver and member of Voices of the Heart. She and husband Neil live in North Hampton.
Rosemary Matheny, RYT 200, is certified at the 200 hour level in Classical Yoga. She is currently pursuing her 500 hour level certification. She continues to study at the New England Division of the YogaLife Institute in New Hampshire, with USA headquarters in Pennsylvania, and International headquarters and certified by The Yoga Life Institute in Mumbai, India. Rosemary is also certified in level II Reiki. Yoga has become the stabilizing force in her life that drives her to teach. Her classes focus on coordination of movement with the breath to build flexibility and strength in connection of body, mind, and spirit. “The goal is to find that inner balance, light, and peace which resides in each of us that will sustain us in all of life’s situations.” She resides in Greenland with her husband and two children.
Sally Sugatt, RYT, trained in Classical Yoga at the YogaLife Institute program in N.H., an affiliate born of the Yoga Institute in Mumbai, India. She currently continues her yoga studies toward the 500 hour certification level and teaches classes in Exeter. Sally is a local child and family therapist.
