A Mandala is a "special circle" of brightly colored patterns and designs that is created with a meditative mind. Creating a Mandala is a unifying and relaxing experience that allows people to express themselves individually while working as part of a whole. As we share the experience of creating a Mandala, we will explore the peaceful centering that results from focused effort and relaxed breathing as we reflect inward and also connect with others.
Unlike previously offered Mandala workshops that included children, this workshop is geared toward adults, no experience necessary.

The new season brings change as witnessed in trees losing leaves while drawing their energy inwards. Soil hardens around roots as nature braces for winters' force demonstrating that flexibility and balance are key.
Balance is important to us as well, while we shift and sway with demands. With the cold comes stiffness, so we move our bodies through yogic stretches to keep them limber. With change comes imbalance, so we find strength in our cores and foundations to reach a place of harmony. We relinquish stress and tension like falling leaves while we focus and balance our minds with concentration.
Balancing Life with Awareness is a special time designed to allow you to find your sense of balance through the body (yogic posing), the breath, and relaxation.

Balance and Enlightenment Through
the Five Branches of Yoga
with Dr. Robert Butera
Do you find peace and inspiration through yoga's physical poses, but find meditation extremely difficult? Do you struggle with chanting or prayer but love to journal and study the workings of the mind? Are you the type of person for whom helping others is a spiritual practice, but find it difficult to care for yourself? These are some of the different ways in which people are inspired and uplifted, as well as challenged and imbalanced, in relation to yoga's various practices.
In this workshop, Dr. Butera, founder of the YogaLife Institute of PA and author of The Pure Heart of Yoga, discusses the healing and transformative benefits of yoga while honoring the theory that we all have a unique path. The five branches of Yoga provide different ways to purify our being: Tantra (via the physical body), Raja (via stilling of the mind), Karma (via our actions or service to others), Bhakti (via devotion and the heart), and Jnana (via wisdom and study). Understanding the five branches of yoga is inspiring because we can discover the ways in which yoga works best for us, while attempting to bring balance to all five paths. To learn more about Dr. Butera and read two of his most recent articles in 'Yoga Therapy Today'.

Breathing is a fundamental human activity. Essential to our physical life, intimately intertwined with our emotions, elegantly simple and surprisingly powerful, the breath is a pathway to understanding the experience of being alive. Considered one of the most ancient traditions of yoga, regulation of the breath has the potential to still the mind, regulate the emotions, increase physical health, and enhance athletic performance.

Healing through Joy!
with Daniela Kulik, RYT500

"To live is to dance, to dance is to live."
Let's dance! Let's have some fun! Let's shake it out! Let it go! Your presence is enthusiastically requested for a celebration of dance and life! This is a Chakra dance explosion. Seven energy centers provide the basis for this dance of yoga. Through fabulous world music, we feel the grounding force of the first earthen Chakra in our feet, legs, and tailbones. We spiral up through the senses to the sacrum and pelvis; our second Chakra, moving our hips and belly. We travel still further, experiencing the third center of power, strength and solar energy. In the center of the heart, we dance healing and loving kindness out to the world. We then blast into the fifth Chakra with sweaty intensity, streaming across the room with unbridled bliss. As we move into the upper Chakras (six and seven) we relax and find stillness in meditation. As we lay on our backs we feel the support of the earth beneath us. At the end, we sit still together in a sacred circle.
